Stroud Shambles WI with speaker Jane Peckitt, colour consultant at Baileys Paints, Stroud

SUZANNE welcomed everybody to the meeting before she went through the notices from GFWI.

Members were reminded that tickets for the Christmas Concert must be ordered by the end of the meeting.

Other notices include the Autumn County Meeting, Calendars and Diaries for 2018 and visit to Friends Meeting House in

Cirencester.

Also an invitation from Bibury WI to join them for their Centenary Celebration Weekend on July 7, 8 and 9.

A new member’s website has been launched at the NFWI conference to encourage all members to have access to the main WI site and see what is going on along with features such as cooking, gardening and crafts.

Also information about Denman College.

Members need to give June B their email addresses to update their membership record.

Jenny then gave members a report from the National Conference which she attended as our delegate.

Birthday flowers were given to Maureen, Rachel, Joan, Marysia and Helen.

Suzanne then introduced our speaker Jane Peckitt who is a colour consultant at Baileys Paints, Stroud.

She gave us a fascinating insight into the world of paints and all the many shades that can complement one another to enhance the décor of a home.

This might be a traditional Cotswold cottage or an upmarket modern house.

She also gave us some useful tips on how to choose a colour scheme including any wallpaper or soft furnishings.

This was illustrated by the samples of wallpaper she brought and displayed.

Each member was given a goodie bag to take home.

A Vote of Thanks was given by Marion.

Refreshments were then served.
