SEVEN weeks ago, we started our Back to Netball sessions at Stroud High School, and it was a blast!
We had over 30 keen women attend each week, of all ages and fitness.
On the final night of the six sessions, they all went to the pub for a social, and this Monday we started our mini league.
We had six teams - made up from the participants of the previous six sessions.
It really was a fabulous evening, to mark the start of our Netball Fun League in Stroud, and one of the ladies sent this to us: "Tonight has spurred me on to focus on getting fit again. Fantastic fun even though my heart and lungs nearly gave out! Can't wait for the next one. Thanks everyone for a great match"
This league will carry on all year round, and we are already planning some more back to netball sessions again in September, at a new venue, Thomas Keble School, where we plan to get even more Stroud residents exercising and enjoying the wonderful game of netball!
We would like to thank coach Jen Usher for making all of this happen
