Saint James Church, Quedgeley - Pet Service

WHILST the rain poured outside, Noah’s Ark was a fitting theme for Saint James’ family service.

A packed church of youngsters and the not so young brought their pets along for a blessing.

This is the third pet service that the church has held in the area.

This year the church combined its family and pet service together.

Youngsters enthusiastically listened and joined in as Fr. John (Rector & Parish Priest) told the story of Noah and the Ark.

Youngsters then tackled the craft activity making their own ark from cardboard, coloured paper and felt tip pens.

The morning ended with a buffet lunch provided by members of the congregation.

Fr. John said ‘It was lovely to see so many people. The weather may have been bleak outside but everyone was kept busy in the church. The animals were exceptionally good and well behaved. Seamus (my dog) loves meeting people and having the other animals around didn’t bother him one bit’
