Stroud & District Angling Club taster session
THE third introduction to Angling taster session was held by Stroud & District Angling Club on their stretch of the Thames & Severn canal at Thrupp on September 23.
The club has maintained and kept clear this stretch for many years to provide angling in the local area and with the provision of new platforms financed by the club lends itself to a safe environment for anglers of all ages and abilities.
This year over 30 young people have enjoyed these sessions with equipment donated by the club for them to fish with on the day and take home for their future enjoyment.
The girls appear to excel at fishing beating the boys and Saturday was no exception with young Amy leading the way with 3lbs of Roach, second was Ollie With 1lb 8ozs and third Ethan with 1lb 4ozs.
The club will be holding more events in 2018.
