TSB partners in Gloucester lend a hand to help out local deaf charity

LOCAL deaf charity, Gloucestershire Deaf Association (GDA), welcomed the help of TSB’s Barnwood office, when a team of 14 Partners visited the charity’s office in Gloucester to lend a hand.

As part of TSB’s community involvement programme, everyone working for TSB is given eight hours a year to get involved in their local area, to help make a difference to the local community.

TSB’s Customer Process team from Barnwood Head Office used their eight hours to support GDA with painting and decorating the charity’s reception area which had been damaged by a flood in July.

Emma Woods, Customer Process Consultant, TSB Barnwood comments: “At TSB we are all about supporting local causes that are the lifeblood of many communities across Britain. It’s brilliant to know that the time we’ve spent with Gloucestershire Deaf Association will help it to continue to offer its much needed service to our local community.”

Gemma Sills, Communication Officer, GDA says: “We were one of TSB Barnwood’s Local Charity Partners from September 2016 to September 2017, and although our partnership has now come to an end, it’s absolutely wonderful that we’re still receiving TSB’s support.

“The team who joined us have been a huge help in redecorating our reception area which was damaged after a flood back in July, as well as sprucing up the outside. Their help over the past year has been invaluable and we can’t thank them enough for their efforts.”
