Woodchester WI's Christmas
AS WE came to the end of our 2017 programme, it was no surprise that the festive season was the focus of Woodchester WI’s activities in December.
We kicked off with the Gloucestershire Federation WI’s Christmas Concert at Cheltenham Town Hall.
Whilst special guests Wynne Evans, of Go-Compare Tenor fame, and Radio Gloucestershire’s Mark Cummings were billed as main guests, for our members the star billing went to Erica Marshall and Fleur Vallender, Woodchester WI’s very own members of the GFWI choir.
Weekly rehearsals for this event commence in September and how enjoyable it was to watch their performance in the choir at this wonderful concert – Thank you both.
Our group then came together for our Christmas Party; an evening of festive activities and a delicious, warming supper.
This friendly, sociable evening rounded off our year’s activities and we now look forward to a new year and a new programme commencing on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
In her presentation ‘Bald, One Breast and 50!’, guest speaker Jacky Robertson will talk about her own personal story of breast cancer.
