UkeStroud, the club for ukulele players in the Stroud area continues to meet on the first, third and fifth Thursdays at Pitchcombe Village Hall from 8-10pm.
Sessions are lead by local music teacher, Norma Mills and new songs are introduced from any era from 20s to 00s.
The group regularly perform in care homes and community functions and have made various donations to charities including Cotswold Boatmobility, The Stroke Association and Children in Need.
In the run-up to Christmas, Ukestroud took part in Stroud Goodwill and entertained with songs and jokes at parties including Stroud Visually Impaired, Stroud WI, Nia Dance and Leonard Stanley Wine Circle.
New members are always welcome and a special beginners workshop has been arranged for:
Saturday, February 3, 10am – 12.15pm at Pitchcombe Village Hall for anyone who would like to learn the basics of playing the ukulele.
