ON TUESDAY, March 13, Randwick gardening club held its first meeting of 2018 in the village hall.

The meeting was opened by the chairman Mr Stuart Gregory.

Three day trips are planned, on May 17, to Stoner Park, Oxfordshire cost £23, on June 14, to Bishops Palace gardens, Wells, Somerset cost £23, and on August 9, to Cannington Walled Gardens, Somerset cost £20.

There are still vacancies at the time of writing, and non members are welcome but it is important to contact Miss Ann Adams on 01453 758353 or Mrs Betty Clark on 01453 751796 if you are interested in the Stoner Park trip.

The speaker for the evening was Mr P Griffiths on Rural Crafts.

His talk about farming of yesteryear was well illustrated by a variety of hand tools and old photographs.

The raffle was won by Mrs Desi Luckman and Mrs Judy Williams.

All are welcome to our meetings held in Randwick Village Hall on the second Tuesday in the month at 7.30pm excluding January, February and August.

The cost is £2.50 for visitors and £11 for an annual membership.
