Nailsworth and District Flower Arrangement Society with Yvonne Berry from Bromyard
THE April meeting was very well attended, annual subscriptions were taken, and members received their programme for the coming year.
The Mary Barnard Cup was presented to Elaine Bushby - competition winner for 2017 and vouchers were given to runners up Mary Oakey and Daphne Turner.
Our demonstrator for the evening was Yvonne Berry from Bromyard with her theme entitled "My sporting favourites".
For her first arrangement depicting Wimbledon.
Sailing off to the sunny seas on a yacht was her second design.
A third arrangement cleverly depicted an afternoon fishing on the river bank.
Cycling was the theme for her fourth arrangement.
Yvonne had chosen to depict a "Day at the Races" for her fifth design.
A sixth and final design contained was arranged in a Silver Trophy Cup.
A raffle of the arrangements demonstrated was held and won by delighted members of the audience.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday, May 2, at 7.30pm in Nailsworth Town Hall when new members and visitors are always welcome.
