Arlingham WI with speaker Karen Reynolds from Leckhampton Court Hospice

THE meeting was opened with a financial report followed by a variety of activities on offer; these included the carol concert choir, a croquet taster, a vintage paper wreath making workshop, the new speakers’ taster morning, a walk at Chase, a visit to a synagogue and a talk on the development of pee power.

Our speaker this month was Karen Reynolds from Leckhampton Court Hospice.

Leckhampton Court is Gloucestershire’s only specialist palliative care in-patient unit and provides not just medical care but emotional and practical support for patients and their families.

The vote of thanks was given by Margaret and refreshments this month were provided by Chris and Chrissie.

The winners for the competition to "bring a flower from your garden" were:-

Jeanette in first place with a camellia; Chrissie came second with a daffodil and Fay was third with damson blossom.

Next month will be our Resolutions month so there will be no speaker.

You don’t need to be a member to participate as you can join us as a visitor.

We meet at the village hall at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of the month.
