STROUD Gardening Club held their April meeting on 18th, when chairperson, Sharon Pellatt welcomed Chris Evans from Dundry Nurseries who gave an entertaining talk entitled 'An Unexpected Journey'

Chris began by explaining that the nursery was started in 1947 by his grandfather, and that his own interest in gardening was when his father joined his grandfather in the business.

Chris' ability to put over his message to the audience interspersed with funny anecdotes had the audience enthralled, and he was warmly thanked by Sharon and all those present.

Refreshments were then served, with cakes made by Jan and Sharon, and the raffle was drawn at the end of a successful evening.
