Eastington Methodist Church sees 150% increase in members!

THE membership of Eastington Methodist Church near Stonehouse in Gloucestershire received six new members at a special service of welcome and dedication, conducted by their Minister the Revd Graham Miles and supported by local Church Steward Beck Burgin.

Mr Miles says: "This means we have gone from four members to ten! Eastingon Methodist Church is a thriving outgoing church with the local community at its heart. This is a church where the size of the of the membership bears no resemblance to the outreach work we do and can be held as an inspiration for other small rural congregations".

With around 25 people attending Sunday worship, there is also the twice monthly Cafe Church, two Bible Study groups, plus the weekly Youth Club.

Contact with local schools is made by taking occasional assemblies at Eastington Primary School and nearby Whitminster Primary School, and one church member is a Governor at Whitminster.

With the popular Messy Church receiving around 60 youngsters during school holidays, the church also supports Mother and Toddlers groups at both Eastington and Whitminster.
