Rothwell back in Stroud CONTINUING the 45th, and final, season of concerts, the Stroud Brass Band festival welcomes the Rothwell Temperance Band to the Subscription Rooms on March 20.
This concert is the band’s first public appearance since gaining qualification to the national finals in the Yorkshire Regional Championships on March 7. "We have every intention of bettering our fourth place in last year’s National when we go to the London contest this coming October," quoted Andy Riley, the band manager.
Their musical director David Roberts told Tony Wyatt, Festival concert secretary: "The band thoroughly enjoys coming to Stroud. The organisation is very professional and we are really looked after. It is a great pity this is the last season of concerts and with a full hall at every concert the Stroud Brass Band Festival should be justly proud of all its achievements."
The concert commences at 7.30pm and for tickets/enquiries please contact Ken Gracie on 01453 765753.
