NATHAN Hall, 24, has admitted supplying cannabis as a way to pay back a £1,000 drugs debt.

Hall's house in Bourne Lane, Brimscombe was searched by police on Friday, August 28.

Andrew Bowdler, prosecuting at Stroud Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 20, explained that Hall directed police to a shed in his garden where two containers of cannabis resin, weighing about seven grams, were found.

A small cocaine wrap and a cannabis plant were also found in the garden, the court heard.

Defending, Christine Graham said: "The cocaine was for Hall's personal use and there is no suggestion that he was dealing it.

"He had begun dealing cannabis to a small group of friends so that he could pay back a drugs debt.

"There was nothing sophisticated about this operation - he only made about £40."

Hall, who is training to be a plumber, was given a four week curfew for the cannabis-related offences which will run everyday from 7pm to 7am.

He was fined £100 for possessing cocaine and ordered to pay £70 costs plus a £15 victim surcharge.
