PLANNED roadworks in Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire are set to go ahead in the next couple of weeks.

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Bristol

M32 Junction 1: Structures The northbound entry slip road will be closed nightly from Tuesday 22 July until Friday 25 July between 9pm and 6am. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M32 Junction 1: Structures The northbound carriageway over the top of Junction 1 will be closed nightly from Friday 25 July until Sunday 27 July between 9pm and 6am. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M32 Junction 1: Structures The northbound entry slip road will be closed nightly from Sunday 27 July until Tuesday 29 July between 9pm and 6am. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Junction 20 – 19: Communication Repairs The M5 southbound to M4 eastbound link, M4 eastbound to M5 northbound link and the M4 eastbound to M5 southbound link will be closed overnight on Monday 21 July from 8pm until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Junction 20 Almondsbury Interchange: Communication repairs The M4 eastbound to M5 southbound link will be closed overnight on Thursday 24 July from 8pm until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4/M5 Almondsbury Interchange: Communication repairs The M5 southbound to M4 eastbound link and M5 southbound link to M4 westbound link will be closed overnight on Tuesday 22 July from 8pm until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M4 Second Severn Crossing: Maintenance One lane on the westbound carriageway will be closed overnight and there will be a full overnight closure of the westbound carriageway over the top of Junction 22 on Monday 21 July from 8pm until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be on and off the slip roads and will be clearly signposted.

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 11a – Junction 12: Bridge repairs Narrow lanes with a width restriction of 5 metres, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place during the day and occasional slip road and full carriageway closures will take place overnight. Work is expected to continue until June 2015.

M5 between Junction 11 – 10: Bridge repairs Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until May 2015.

A40 Huntley Bends: Investigations Full carriageway closure will take place continuously from 8am on Saturday 26 July until 6pm Sunday 27 July. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

Wiltshire A303 Chicklade, near junction with A350: Resurfacing Full overnight carriageway closure will take place from Monday 14 July until Tuesday 29 July between 8pm until 6am (Monday to Friday only). Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 southbound between Junction 30 – 31: Structural works 24 hour 50mph speed restrictions will be in place until mid August 2014.

M5 Junction 27: Resurfacing The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight on Friday 26 July from 8pm until 6am the following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
