BRAVE mum Vicky Mayo is to plunge 10,000ft to raise money for her children’s school.

Vicky, 26, will try to contain her nerves when she completes a tandem skydive at Salisbury Airport on Saturday, November 1.

Money raised in sponsorship will go towards revamping the hall at The Croft Primary School in Painswick.

“I wanted to do my bit to raise money for my children’s school and this seemed like a fun challenge,” said Vicky, mum to Sienna, aged seven, and Ellis, aged six, who both attend the school.

“Four local businesses have paid for me to do the jump, Anne-Marie Randall Photography, Sheepscombe Meat Hog Roasts, Si’s Perfect Fitness Stroud, Martin & Co Cheltenham, so all sponsorship money raised goes straight to charity.”

Croft head teacher Kevin Howie said: “We would like to raise £500 to revamp the school hall which is looking tired and needs updating.

“The money raised will be spent on a new sound system and decoration, which will aid the children’s performances and help them gain confidence in school plays and in assemblies.”

lIf anyone would like to sponsor Vicky they should call the school on 01453 812479 or text VICK18£ followed by the sponsorship amount to 70070.
