FLOWERS have been left at the scene of an accident which killed a brother and sister on Saturday night.

Former Archway School student Jinny-Mae Cook, 18, and Bobby Roberts, 28, died on Saturday in a collision with another car on the Ebley bypass.

The crash at 6.45pm involved a silver VW Golf travelling towards the Dudbridge roundabout and a blue Vauxhall Vectra travelling in the opposite direction towards Stonehouse.

Bobby, who was driving the VW and Jinny-Mae, his passenger, sadly died in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Tributes have been pouring in on social media about the pair with friends and family sharing their shock over the news.

One tribute read: “I always thought Bobby was invincible and I suppose Jinny-Mae Cook was just as beautiful as an angel that’s why they have taken her away.”

Whilst another said: “Thoughts to close friends and family! Such devastating news. You'll be missed by many.”

Another person posted: "So unfair to lose you and your brother."

Archway headteacher Colin Belford has also paid tribute to Jinny-Mae, who was a student at the school in Paganhill.

He said: “We were devastated to hear the news about Jinny, a girl who was well-liked by students and staff.

“She was a particularly caring and sociable young lady who, as one colleague commented earlier, ‘was the sort of person that touches your heart’. “Our thoughts and condolences go to her family and friends.”

Police are still appealing for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

A male passenger in the Golf was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a man, was also taken to GRH with injuries described as not life-changing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 415 of November 15.
