GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police are investigating the death of a female diver at the National Diving Centre in Chepstow over the weekend.
Police were called just before midday on Saturday after an incident involving a woman and man from Devon who were diving with a friend who is an instructor, but was not diving in this capacity.
The woman, who is in her fifties, died at the scene, and the man, her husband, was taken to a decompression unit in Plymouth.
Officers are working with the Health and Safety Executive to investigate this unexplained death but it's believed not to be suspicious.
An inquest is likely to open later today.
Police are not investigating the dive centre.
