A HORSE feed manufacturer has pledged to sponsor the Novice Championship at The Festival of British Eventing, held at Gatcombe Park in August.

The championship, where grassroots riders have the opportunity to take on the stars of the sport with their up-and-coming horses, is one of the highlights of the Festival.

Dodson & Horrell hope that by sponsoring the championship, it will demonstrate their commitment to working not only with top class eventers but also aspiring horse and rider combinations.

Sam Horrell, marketing director at Dodson & Horrell said: “The Novice Championship is such an exciting competition and one that we are delighted to sponsor.

“We look forward to supporting all the competitors, including members of our team and welcoming visitors to the Dodson & Horrell stand where we will be offering expert nutritional advice throughout the event.”

Past winners of the British Novice Championship that have gone on to CCI4* success include Clayton Fredericks’ 2004 winner, Bendigo III, and William Fox-Pitt’s 2006 and 2007 champions, Navigator and Cool Mountain.
