MERRYWALKS car park in Stroud is becoming pay and display - leaving staff there fearing for their jobs.
However Stroud District Council, which runs the car park, has told the SNJ that it is trying to find other jobs for the three part time members of staff.
Traders in the town centre said they had been told the car park would become pay and display around Christmas time.
SDC said that the move was in order to bring Merrywalks' ticketing system in line with its other car parks in the district.
