FRIENDS of a mum who has been diagnosed with cancer have organised a fundraising event to help pay for her treatment.
A coffee morning and shopping event will be held at Eastcombe village hall this Sunday from 10am until 2pm.
Shoppers can bag themselves a Christmas gift and there will also be bric-a-brac, a raffle, face painting and homemade cakes on offer.
Half of the money raised will help reimburse the cost of wigs, headscarves and loss of earnings for Erika Lines who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July.
The other half of the money raised will go to Cancer Research UK.
Erika, 25, from Chalford, last week finished undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.
Her friends have already raised £3,000 to buy a wig, three scarves and help out with household bills.
They are hoping to raise enough for Erika to have a weekend away next year.
