A FORMER headteacher at Nailsworth Primary School has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.
Ross Workman, 50, admitted six counts of making an indecent photograph or pseudo photograph (image made by computer graphics which appears to be a photograph) of a child, when he appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court yesterday.
Workman, who worked at the Nailsworth school until the end of 2004, was arrested by detectives from West Midlands Police’s Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team on November 3, 2014, and was immediately suspended from his role as headteacher at Oldswinford CE Primary School in Stourbridge.
Following his arrest, letters were sent to parents at the school informing them of the investigation and police stressed there had been no evidence to suggest there has been any inappropriate contact between the teacher and pupils at the West Midlands school.
The 50-year-old, now of Low Fold Close, Worcester, will be sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on March 2.
