A CHARITY which helps people affected by cancer and dementia has received a £10,000 funding boost.
Cobalt, based in Cheltenham, has received a cheque for £10,265 from its Nailsworth and Woodchester support group.
Donations were raised from a stall at Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club Annual Show at South Cerney Airfield, a donation from the event organisers, a Woodchester Garden Party and other fundraising events.
Julia Jenkins, from Cobalt, said: "It is truly inspirational to meet with the volunteers in Woodchester who have done a tremendous job raising money for Cobalt.
"This donation will help us to continue to provide state of the art care and cutting edge facilities to our patients’.
"The money is enough for the charity to pay for more than 40 patients to be scanned."
