FIREFIGHTERS are cutting a woman free after a two-car collision opposite Kwik Fit in Bath Road, Stroud.

Bath Road is closed in both directions while emergency services attend the scene.

Two police cars and three fire appliances are attending.

A blue Subaru and a white Vauxhall Astra were involved in the collision which took place at 2pm today.

Police said one car collided into the back of the another.

A 35-year-old woman who was driving the Vauxhall suffered back and neck injuries.

Firefighters are removing the windscreen to release her from the vehicle.

The air ambulance is in attendance.

Bath Road is closed in both directions at the Dr Newton's Way roundabout and at the Rodborough Hill junction.

Traffic from Nailsworth is being diverted along Rodborough Hill.

There are tailbacks along Bath Road.

Call 101 quoting incident 227 of May 26 with information.

A reporter is at the scene.
