STROUD-based events and catering businesses Two Peas Street Food and Fred's Bar have joined forces to create a new pop up restaurant, Snack and Tipple.

The new dining experience will launch at The Socialight Cafe, High Street, Stroud on Thursday, June 16 and run for three nights.

The collaboration was born as an idea between friends Rosa Ordonez and Laurence Kapoor, owners of Two Peas Street Food, and Fred Hulls, owner of Fred's Bar.

The trio launched their independent businesses last year which both have bookings for weddings and private events almost every weekend throughout the summer months.

"We were discussing creating a pop-up restaurant", said Rosa, "and when we noticed we're all free during the weekend of June 18 we thought it was fate.

"It's been an amazing few weeks, getting to sample lots of different dishes and drinks ahead of the event. We've created a five course social menu, with dishes inspired by all things summer, and have drinks paired with each course."

Guests at Snack and Tipple will experience a five course meal designed by head chef Laurence, who uses exotic flavours and spices, as well as classic combinations. In addition to the meal, guests can pick a drinks package of cocktails, mocktails or beer and wine. The drinks menus, created by Fred, complement each of the five courses.

"The response to this project has been phenomenal", said Fred. "We're offering something different and special to Stroud, and the town seems to appreciate it.

"Tickets went on sale last week and they're set to sell out very soon. We're already considering an additional night to ensure everyone who wants to experience Snack and Tipple gets a seat."
