A 70 year old Stonehouse sex offender was told by a judge that he is in 'very grave danger of going back to prison' after he was allegedly caught with indecent child images.
John Coxon, of Park Road, Stonehouse, who served a jail term in 2009, was due for sentence at Gloucester crown court on Friday on charges of possessing indecent images and breaching a sex offences prevention order.
But the court was told he has not yet been granted legal aid for his defence - and there was no pre-sentence report on him because he had missed an appointment with a probation officer through forgetfulness and confusion.
Judge Jamie Tabor QC agreed to adjourn sentence until June 24 so he can have a report and be properly represented. He granted Coxon bail.
But the judge warned that Coxon's past record meant it was very likely he would be sent to jail.
