A CAFÉ complete with a clay oven and plenty of outdoor space for families will complement an existing farm and campsite in Nympsfield.
Thistledown is an organic family farm and award-winning campsite near Nailsworth overlooking Woodchester valley.
Fieldfare Café, under the management of Jess Kelly, will serve classic cream teas, homemade cakes and other refreshments to campers and day visitors.
And soon, once the clay oven is up and running, it will also offer a menu including Mediterranean food and pizzas.
The idea for the café sprung up after requests from campers for teas and coffees in the farm shop.
While the clay oven will be open by the summer holidays the café is open on Fridays and Saturdays 9am-6pm and Sundays 9am-4pm.
The café is open throughout half term Monday, May 30 - Friday, June 3.
Fieldfare Café uses produce from businesses including Woefuldane Organic Dairy in Minchinhampton, Winstones ice cream in Stroud and Stroud Brewery in Thrupp.
