PICKLED eggs made in Stroud, beer and comedy will come together for a record-setting night to remember.
As part of a comedy night at a pub in Hackney, London, contestants will attempt to set a new world record with 100 people eating pickled eggs simultaneously.
"This will involve everyone in the room eating a pickled egg at the same time," said a spokesman for the pub.
“If you don't like pickled eggs, please eat one anyway.
“If you are pickled egg virgin, now is your time to try.”
Purely Pickled Eggs, based in Salmon Springs Trading Estate, is the firm sponsoring the challenge.
Amongst the different flavours of British free range pickled eggs on offer, there will be one or two that have been pickled with Scotch Bonnet chilli.
