STROUD’S ‘Knit and Knatter’ group have been busy knitting poppies to raise money for a good cause.
The knitted poppies are now available at the Cotswold Sewing and Knitting Machines shop in Lansdown and from Tesco in Stratford Road.
Money raised will go to the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal.
Last year the knitting group raised about £150.
The ‘Knit and Knatter’ group meet on the second Saturday of every month from 10am to noon It costs £1 to come along, which includes coffee and biscuits and of course a good knatter.
All are welcome.
