ONE of the largest lantern processions in the Five Valleys will sweep through Stonehouse for the town’s annual Goodwill Fest tomorrow.

Festive family fun will be at the festival run by Stonehouse Community Partnership on Saturday, December 3, from 1.30pm to 6.30pm in the High Street.

Father Christmas will be in a magical grotto with his elves all afternoon, before leading the parade with his two reindeer, Dancer and Blitzen, and the African Samba Band.

The lantern procession will start from 5pm, telling the story of The 12 Days of Christmas.

There will be free children’s activities and a Christmas Punch & Judy show in the town hall, new Cotswold Market stalls, musical entertainment on the green, seasonal food and drink and the chance to feed the reindeer.

Santa and the mayor will switch on the Christmas tree lights at 5.30pm.

Organisers thanked the sponsors of the event, including Stonehouse Town Council, Silver sponsors, Norville Opticians, Wynn’s Coffee Co and VW Biridge Motors, Bronze sponsors, Delta Nine IT and Naylor Powell.
