STONEHOUSE Town Council has issued information regarding road closures for the Goodwill Fest tomorrow (Saturday).

The High Street will be closed from around 4:30pm from Elm Road Junction to Regent Street, as will Elm Road just before the Junior School.

Once the procession moves onto the High Street the Elm Road junction will be opened.

When the procession has reached Regent Street and turned around there will be a rolling reopening of the High Street, Regent Street and Queens Road until the procession reaches the High Street Medical Centre.

The High Street will remain closed from Elm Road to the Elm Road side of the town car park until after the Christmas lights are switched on and the crowd subsides, circa 5:40pm.

The High Street closure will also affect traffic by the Co-op, town car park, Regent Street and Queens Road.

SCP, organisers of the event, seek to cause minimum disruption to residents, shoppers and businesses, whilst enabling the town to celebrate the Goodwill Fest, and to ensure the safety of people attending.

Festive family fun will be at the festival run by Stonehouse Community Partnership on Saturday, December 3, from 1.30pm to 6.30pm in the High Street.
