MEMBERS of Stonehouse in Bloom 2017 are preparing the town for a big day of judging next week.

The team have been out and about weeding, watering and tidying to make everything perfect for July 25.

The Table Top Sales and Bloomers Café, which have been held in the Town Hall every Saturday since February, have been very well attended and have raised much-needed funds.

Stonehouse in Bloom chairman, Gary Powell, is pleased with how the preparations are going and is looking forward to taking the judges on a tour of the town.

“Everyone has worked very hard this year,” said Gary.

“We have new planting schemes to show the judges and have been impressed by all the offers of help and donated plants that we have received.

“We are really hoping that all these efforts will come to fruition and that the judges will award us the gold we want very much. Fingers crossed.”

The judges will be walking around the town on the morning of July 25 and their decision will be announced at The Heart of England in Bloom awards ceremony in September.
