POLICE are hunting for thieves after a cash machine in Nailsworth was blown up this morning.
The incident at the Co-op, on Old Market, is believed to have occurred at around 4am.
Police officers attended the scene and found that offenders had smashed a store window before using explosives to gain access to the cash machine.
A forensics team was on the scene shortly after 9am.
"The investigation is in its early stages but officers will, as a matter of course, consider whether there are any links to other cash machine thefts in Gloucestershire in recent weeks," said a police spokesperson.
The shop is currently cordoned off and closed for business.
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident 48 of 21/11 More to come.
