A NEW-LOOK cocktail bar will be launched at Stonehouse Court Hotel tomorrow.

An exclusive guest list has been made to test out the glamorous Bar 1601.

The bar will serve a range of cocktails, artisanal gins, and carefully selected wines.

It has benefited from substantial refurbishment under the guidance of designers Squid Inc, with the total cost of around £25,000.

Following the relaunch of the property’s stylish Court Brasserie restaurant in 2017, Stonehouse Court has turned its attention to creating an inventive, exciting drinks menu.

This new offering places a modern twist on the sophistication and ambiance of a classic cocktail bar, while also serving a range of coffees, teas, homemade cakes, and pastries, as well as bar snacks. the storied 400-year history of Stonehouse Court.

As with the Court Brasserie, significant effort has been made to ensure the design is in keeping with the storied 400-year history of Stonehouse Court.

Bar 1601 has been lovingly updated, with its many oak-panelled features painstakingly maintained, adding both to the property’s historic charm as well as to its playful, dynamic modern image.

Stonehouse Court Hotel general manager, Marian Jurko, is excited by the new bar’s potential.

“We set out with the intention of putting a modern Gloucestershire spin on the time-honoured cocktail bar concept,” he said.

“We have enjoyed tremendous support from both our drinks partners at St Austell’s, as well as or design team, and are excited to showcase this exciting new offering to our customers on February 22.”
