THE PAINSWICK Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt is fast approaching.

With more than 30 beautifully designed eggs hidden around the village and many chocolate prizes to be won this should be a great day for the community.

Clues will be hidden around the village and there are games especially for the adults.

This year the theme of the event will be fairy tales, with several artistic mums providing the special touch to the eggs.

The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance in Painswick and there will be plenty of opportunities for children to have their pictures taken.

Other attractions at this year’s event include live music, bouncy castles, food and craft stalls, as well as a delicious homemade cake stall, tombola, face painting and much more.

Parents are being asked to remind their children to bring a cuddly toy for the Teddy Bear parachuting from the church spire.

Maps for the event will be on sale from The Falcon Pub, the library, or the Playgroup in Painswick, and will be £3 in advance or £4 on the day per child (under 2s are free).

Plenty of free parking will be available at the Painswick Recreation Ground in addition to the usual parking around the village and at Stamages Lane Car Park.

All money raised goes directly to Painswick Playgroup to improve facilities for the children.
