ODE to a pothole
YOU may not be religious
You may not have a faith
But our roads are very holey
And that’s a real disgrace
My tyres are being ruined
My suspension being wrecked
and all the jolts and bumps and swerves
are playing havoc with my neck
Our council tax we regularly pay
or we get a nasty letter.
For our money don’t you think
The service should be better
So if you have sufficient funds
The pot holes could you fill
To drive on smooth and even roads
well that would be a thrill.
