MADAM – I refer to the article and picture of Maria Miller with MP Neil Carmichael, SNJ, April 9.
Mr Carmichael, I note, is once again playing Follow My Leader.
I also note that time after time any MP backed by PM Cameron soon gets the chop.
As with all of these MPs it’s fine until they get caught wit irregular expenses.
£45,000 claimed and an admitted repayment of £5,800, plus a so-called ‘apology’ – of 32 seconds – utter and absolute rubbish.
Daily we read of people fiddling their benefits who are dealt with through the courts – why not Maria Miller?
As a comparison, I take this opportunity to personally thank Messrs Cameron, Osborne and Carmichael for the 25p age-related weekly increase to both my state pension and that of my wife.
I’m perplexed as to how we should invest this weekly 50p.
No wonder fewer and fewer people are turning out to vote.
