MADAM – We do not need a Steiner school in Stroud and I do not want one.
You cannot justify spending funds like this.
Where there are families where money and opportunities are so scarce, any money should be spent on apprenticeships or paid further education for those who cannot afford university fees but still are the future of our country.
I do feel very strongly about this matter and so do others.
Do not waste our resources.
Feeding young children in breakfast clubs and supplying facilities and equipment for the clever but poor children.
Helping our school children to go on educational trips and broadening their outlooks and ideas.
The cuts in education are serious for those of us who are not at Eton.
Keep our grammar schools and schools as good as Archway and really fund them.
You could use money to extend the existing schools and reinstate the facilities for the disabled and special needs children, teenagers and adults.
Stop starving the hospitals of funds.
Employ more doctors and nurses – we need them.
So many of our young adults are suffering from mental problems and there are precious few people to help them.
We need so much.
The last thing we need is a Steiner school in Stroud.
Let your voices be heard.
This is called democracy.
