MADAM – We have just returned from holiday, our cat sitter had warned us that one of our cats was missing.

It turns out that on Thursday, July 3, a small, brown, terrier-type dog had managed to get into our garden through the closed gate.

This dog chased our cat, caught it and savaged it.

The cat eventually died and was found under the shed.

The dog walker followed it and was screaming at the animal, obviously to no avail.

I would like to point out to this women that her carelessness has caused the cat to suffer in pain and die, great distress to our cat sitter who feels responsible, our neighbours and both of us. It also cast a big shadow over our holiday.

The cat’s sibling is confused and will not go out without one of us being present.

He is 13-years-old and has only known life with his twin.

The cat sitter and our friends and neighbours are appalled at the ineptitude of this dog walker.

This person has not had the decency to offer an apology or leave a name or contact number.
