MADAM – How disappointing to read Cllr Brian Oosthuysen’s ‘propaganda’ letter (SNJ July 23).
Mr Oosthuysen is usually one of the more thoughtful Labour councillors, rising above petty party vitriol.
Maybe it’s the hot weather, but he seems to have succumbed to a rather ‘weird’ attack on several ministers who have been dutifully putting the country back on track after 13 years of Labour’s debt-ridden rule.
Reform is for the benefit of all, requires tough choices and, in the end, ensures a fairer, more decent society.
That is the Conservative way and should be praised.
If Labour were to regain power, society would become unfairer, economically depressed and financially bust; all of which would be concealed behind the ‘illusion’ of helping people.
Now to let that happen would be weird.
