MADAM - I notice our MP, Neil Carmichael tweeted last week saying he had met Stonehouse Town Council to discuss access to trains, and as he now says it’s quite clear the option to reactivate Bristol Road station is preferable.
Most local residents are behind this option and it is a dramatic U-turn change to his Carmichael Commission proposal which has been promoting over the past year a new and very expensive station in Standish.
Perhaps he can explain what the Carmichael Commission actually is, and why isn’t it talking to local people before it makes grand pronouncements that cost a lot of money and don’t meet people’s needs?
Maybe Mr Carmichael could start listening to residents more rather than thinking up ridiculous ideas solely to make it look like he is doing something?
Replying to the letters I have sent him would be nice too.
