MADAM – A meeting was planned at Stroud District Council last night, where, as I understand it, the council looked set to vote for 11,200 houses to be built prior to 2031.
This is despite the fact that in 2013, a Labour-run consultation indicated that three quarters of the 2,000 respondents to the survey rejected such proposals.
It is is therefore interesting to read the autumn 2014 newsletter from David Drew, the local Labour Parliamentary candidate, which states on the front page: “I want communities deciding where new housing should go.”
I feel sure that I, like many others, will be concerned.
