MADAM – As a father who lost his teenage son in a car crash ten years ago, nobody was more upset than me at the terrible carnage on our roads over the weekend, both in Gloucestershire and Yorkshire.
They both occurred on a stretch of road where unbroken white lines are joined by chevrons.
Looking at these signs in the Highway Code, the instructions to drivers are very ambiguous.
I hope the authorities will take note and paint unbroken white lines on the Ebley by-pass as soon as possible.
