MADAM - It has become increasingly common for people in the UK to leave flowers at the site of the death of a loved one killed in an accident, a sentiment I understand.
What I do not understand is why such flowers should be left in wrapping materials which do not degrade as the flowers do.
I would love to see people who wish to leave such a memorial lay their flowers on the ground free of any wrapping materials.
The flowers can then degrade where they will feed the earth leaving a permanent memorial to the lost loved one whilst not degrading the environment with unsightly wrapping materials.
