No doubt, I’m in the minority
MADAM – May I add my opinion on the demonstration against the Javelin Park incinerator on January 17.
I have no doubt I am in the minority but I am in favour of the project going ahead.
The protesters are against incineration, so would they rather have more landfill sites encouraging vermin of all kinds (such as rats) to spread diseases.
I for one would rather see piles of dust being used for alternative projects than having homes built in the future on vermin-infested areas.
Some say the incinerator would spoil the landscape. Didn’t people say the same about the height of the factory chimney when the MMB was built in Stonehouse years ago?
