Uncommon nonsense to be found at the booking office
MADAM – An Alice in Wonderland moment at the ticket office at Stroud railway station recently: “Day return from Kemble to Paddington on the 31st, please.”
“Don’t do day returns.”
“I’d like to go from Kemble to Paddington on the 31st and come back the same day, please.”
“Yeah, that’s all right...”
I had to glance back to make sure the White Rabbit and the guy in the big top hat weren’t behind me in the queue.
