I WOULD like to write to you concerning a really positive and beautiful experience I recently witnessed on Easter Saturday.
At the local Roman Catholic church, an Eastern European custom was introduced.
Baskets were brought by children, with flowers and Easter eggs and those from the adults contained symbolic food to be blessed.
This was a moving and honourable custom which I hope will be continued in this country.
I wish also to express my deep concern over the closing down of the pharmacy at Stroud General Hospital in April. which has served the local community since its origins in the 1700s.
It seems that creeping privatisation could so insidiously suffocate our National Health Service.
