SOMETHING wonderful happened in Stroud on Saturday night.
A group of musicians called the Raga Babas played Hindu devotional music in St Laurence Church.
And the audience danced in the space left now that the pews have been taken out, and the vicar, the Rev Simon Howells, played in the band!
It was very moving to see the church opening itself to other faiths.
Healing of the conflicts between the different religions of the world is urgently needed, and Stroud is helping to lead the way.
On Saturday, July 4 the church will host a Sacred Music Festival.
I’m proud to live in Stroud.
