RECENT articles in the national press have highlighted concerns about the possible dangers and effects of radio and electro-magnetic frequency radiation.

There appear to be an increasing number of cases of brain cancers and tumours particularly involving young people, and one does wonder just what dangers are posed by an environment which is increasingly filled with the types of radiation associated with the mobile phones, electricity pylons, wifi, Bluetooth, etc...

The French government has apparently banned or restricted the use of WiFi during early school days, and in Germany, the government has recommended avoiding WiFi in the home and at work wherever possible.

It is suggested that if WiFi does pose a danger, it is mostly to the younger population, because their skulls are thinner, but on the basis that in a home or workplace the signal passes straight through internal walls, one wonders whether in fact we are all in danger.

If this is the case, we are unwittingly being exposed to it in many, many public places, such as hotels, motorway service areas, etc.

One would hope that the matter can be thoroughly researched once and for all, and perhaps in the meantime, we are best advised to revert to using a cable and router with no wireless capability.
