I WAS reading Enda Phelps’ letter in this week’s SNJ regarding unwanted plants in Stroud cemetery.
It inspired me to write about ivy, which is a plant that has become quite invasive.
Within half a mile of my home I noticed ivy growing in stones, stonework, trees, hedges and garden plants.
It is growing along the ground in my garden and up a number of my trees.
I hope something can be done about this noxious weed.
I think I will contact Stroud District Council for advice.
